Renewable energies are beginning to develop, but as they cannot be controlled, gas, coal and oil remain the main sources. As a result, many countries, including France, have relaunched their nuclear strategy.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/electricity-prod-source-stacked-1024x833.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/electricity-prod-source-stacked-1024x833.png\" alt=\"Worldwide electricity production by primary energy source.&#10;Worldwide electricity production by source.  \" class=\"wp-image-8067\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In 2024, <strong>Lyon Cintrage will be working on numerous civil and military projects in research, production and fuel enrichment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Over the years, Lyon Cintrage has developed its expertise in learning and transposing the various industry standards to its trade, such as the famous RCC-M*.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Throughout the project, the various stages follow one another, leading from the front :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Documentary aspects such as the development of forming procedures for qualification and production.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Inspections** (destructive or otherwise) carried out in-house or by qualified partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Manufacturing operations are often carried out in spaces and equipment dedicated to the nuclear industry to avoid f\u00e9ritic contact***.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This year, Lyon Cintrage is working on projects as varied as ITER at Cadarache, various CNPEs (Centre Nucl\u00e9aire de Production d&#8217;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9) operated by EDF, Naval Defense applications, upcoming SMR (Small Modular Reactor) projects and even a Uranium transformation project.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Cintrage-Tube-Nucleaire-Fusion-ITER-LCS-nuclear-tube-bending.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"7945\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Cintrage-Tube-Nucleaire-Fusion-ITER-LCS-nuclear-tube-bending-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Bending-Tube-Nuclear-Fusion-ITER-LCS-nuclear-tube-bending\" class=\"wp-image-7945\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Tube-cintre-Lyon-cintrage-Seignobos-pour-Iter-768x1024.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8084\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Tube-cintre-Lyon-cintrage-Seignobos-pour-Iter-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8084\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Cintrage-Zone-Nucleaire-Lyon-Cintrage-1-768x1024.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"8083\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lyon-cintrage.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Cintrage-Zone-Nucleaire-Lyon-Cintrage-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8083\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>*RCCM: Ceramic Fuel Reactor with Metal Moderator. The RCC-M is a code developed in France to define the rules for the design, manufacture and inspection of equipment used in nuclear power plants, in particular pressurized water reactors (PWRs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>*RCC-MN1: Safety-critical components (e.g. reactor vessel, primary piping). These elements have the most stringent requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>*RCC-MN2: Components important to safety, but with slightly less stringent requirements than N1. They include equipment such as secondary piping and systems that play an indirect role in safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>*RCC-MN3: Components of lesser importance to safety, but still subject to rigorous standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>*RCC-MNC: Unclassified components with standard requirements.
