Aerospace tube bending in the service of innovation
Conceived by Swiss explorer Bertrand Piccard—already behind Solar Impulse, the first aircraft to fly around the world powered solely by solar energy—the Climate Impulse project aims to take on a new challenge. To complete the first non-stop round-the-world flight aboard an aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen.
Such an ambitious project relies on the expertise of many industrial partners. Lyon Cintrage Seignobos is proud to contribute by putting its know-how in aerospace tube bending and precision rolling at the service of the aircraft’s development.

Tubes with essential functions
As part of this collaboration, our teams produced several technical tubes, each fulfilling a specific function within the internal system of the hydrogen tank:
- two tubes for routing the electrical power supply
- a filling tube
- a tube dedicated to drainage and supply
These parts were manufactured to the highest standards to ensure perfect integration in an environment where precision is essential.

Tube bending expertise serving the aerospace industry
Tube bending is a key step in the manufacture of many aerospace systems. It makes it possible to achieve complex geometries while meeting particularly strict tolerances.
Thanks to our mastery of precision rolling and tube bending, we support manufacturers in producing technical parts for the most demanding sectors.
A future-focused collaboration
Taking part in the Climate Impulse project illustrates Lyon Cintrage Seignobos’ ability to support innovative projects requiring a high level of technical rigor.
This achievement confirms our expertise in tube bending for the aerospace industry and our commitment to contributing—alongside major innovation players—to the technologies that will shape tomorrow’s industry.
