Bending for the nuclear industry

Have you ever heard of the ITER project?

It’s one of the world’s most ambitious nuclear energy projects!

In short, 35 countries have joined forces to replicate the Sun’s energy source and develop a nuclear fusion power plant.

At the heart of this power plant and during fusion, the TOKAMAK (large central ring) contains and transmits the energy in the form of heat.
It is in the heart of this reactor that our bent tubes are currently installed.

Nuclear tube bending for constrained nuclear environments.
At the heart of the ITER nuclear fusion reactor – Lyon Cintrage

To limit the number of welded installations in this highly constrained environment, Lyon Cintrage’s technical solutions meet the following requirements:
Geometry : the tubes must fit into this complex assembly, respecting the planned path
Cleanliness : the tubes must be free of all ferritic and organic pollution
Manufacturing in a nuclear environment validated by the qualification of forming/bending operating modes (QMOF/QMOC).
