How can you guarantee the reproduction of unique pieces?

During the installation of power plants, a large number of piping systems were installed directly on site. These unique pieces had the advantage of perfectly matching the site’s space and functionality requirements.

Our customer needed an identical reproduction of the piping for a maintenance operation in a nuclear power plant. These pipes are used for the emergency generator. This last-resort diesel engine is used to generate the electricity needed to bring the plant to safety in the event of a major accident.

Some sixty model parts were delivered to Lyon Cintrage for reproduction and return of the models as soon as possible to avoid blocking the worksite. The bent tubes and end caps are welded together on site, with Lyon Cintrage supplying the bent tubes.

Thanks to its measuring facilities, Lyon Cintrage was able to measure the dimensions of the model parts directly, so that each part could be reproduced individually.

In addition to guaranteeing the quality of the parts produced, the bender was responsible for managing part numbers and identifying them, again to facilitate assembly on site.
